Kiwi's Currie & Adam wins Ironman Asia Pacific Championships




Kiwi Braden Currie has won the Ironman Asia Pacific Championships in record time against a star studded field that included Javier Gomez.

The Wanaka based Red Bull athlete crossed the line in Cairns stopping the clock at 7:54:55, after pulling away from Gomez who placed second and Terenzo Bozzone home 3rd in 08:00:06.  On IM Live Currie stated “after IM NZ he was disappointed so this victory is huge and it feels really good to crush it!”


Kiwi Teresa Adam pulled away from three times world champion Mirinda Carfrae to win in record time of 8:53:16.
